Help A Child Smile Dental Program
We are happy to have Help a Child Smile Mobile Dental Program come to our school. We will be scheduling the mobile dentist to come out sometime in February or March 2024. Clothing Needs
Medication Policies
Parents should check with their physician regarding the need for medications to be administered during school hours.
Medications prescribed three times daily often can be given before school, after school, and at bedtime. If you
have any questions about this procedure, please call the school clinic.
2. All medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, must be accompanied by this form and brought to the
school clinic by an adult.
3. All medications must be in the ORIGINAL CHILD PROOF CONTAINER. Prescription medications must be in
the labeled prescription bottle. Pharmacists can give a duplicate labeled container with only the school dose. It
is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to inform the school of any changes and update medication forms.
Medications stored in envelopes, baggies, etc., will not be administered.
School Flu Prevention
Student Illness or Injury
GCPS recommends that any students with flu-like symptoms be isolated until the parents can pick them up.
Symptoms include:
- Fever over 100 degrees
- Acute respiratory illness: sore throat, congestion, runny nose, or cough
Less common symptoms include:
- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
- Lethargy
- Lack of appetite
Physical Education or Recess Restrictions:
Students with casts, crutches, wheelchairs, etc. should contact Ms. Perez at the Clinic so that Physical Education class or recess restrictions and/or accommodations can be determined.
