School Closing Information

ParentSquare is our primary source of communication for all urgent updates, including weather alerts, emergency notifications, and school closures. If hazardous weather, including snow or ice, or other emergencies present a threat to the safety of students, staff, or school property, Stripling Elementary may close early or cancel school as appropriate and as directed by Gwinnett County Public Schools policy.

District and school information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text via ParentSquare. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices).

The decision to cancel school is generally made before 6 a.m. The Gwinnett County Public Schools superintendent makes the decision about weather-related school closings including snow and ice.
